Save up and buy a vehicle, if you live in the middle of nowhere it'll really help you out a lot. I'm also gonna assume you're gonna wrap up High School soon, you should put that money to the side and save it for when you're living on your own. Rent and all that, because the less loans you take out ultimately the better it'll be down the road.

Not a bad plan, living with the rents is always good you should do it for as long as you can honestly.
For that matter I guess just make sure you have a cushion to land on. Like if you car breaks down, you get robbed or something medical goes down. I'm total crap at saving though, it's gonna bite me in the *** eventually.

I've been saving for a gun since July. I don't plan on living here long after technical school. If I can I will be a traveling welder.

2 years of college is around 8-10k! My first semester was 1.8k + 300 in books.
