New look for website

Dan - Nope, only ever used SC on mobile once for testing the new layout.

Sorry if there was a bug with images. Has sorted itself out. Let me know if it happens again.

There are so many different devices and different mobiles these days all with their own quirks, the task of building a functioning website is substantially more difficult than it was when we first started in 1999.

Back then, the only real consideration was whether or not it looked good in IE (Microsoft).

Yeah, it would have been easier. Then there was FireFox in 2002, Safari in 2003, Google Chrome in 2008 and then IE got replaced by Edge in 2015...

My only thing with the new layout is that I miss the different color schemes. I liked the idea of being able to switch between them and kept hoping for a blue-themed one, but I guess now that won't happen. I don't generally use the mobile version so I don't know how well that works.

Nice design is pretty slick. Good job guys.

Regarding other colors, I think we will just stick with the one color choice for now, although there is a switch for black or which background.

I mean it looks nice, it's a lot less cluttered adn easier to look at. The darkskin is awkward cause colors now but gj

Craizen, anything about the dark skin not working out? If its looking wrong to you let me know in case its a problem that needs sorting out.

The dark skin looks the same as before, just that some colors are hard to read with it. That's nothing to do with the new layout, it was always that way. As long as we can keep the dark look, I'll be okay with the missing color schemes, I guess. Just really wish I could have seen that blue one (sorry if I'm obsessing a bit).

Well other colour schemes may be something for the future. We need to make sure this new design is working well for everyone first. Thanks for all the feedback so far.

Yeah and everyone remember to be gentle with Mark, apparently he doesnt like it rough

1st impression I like it but I dont like when adds affect the screen movement. Nothing more annoying when you are reading someone's post and theres an ad pushing the screen down.

This layout is great, everything seems to be working and it looks good.

But, (there it is, that stupid word...) I'm having a problem with the 'Help A Gamer', when I type a game into the box, nothing appears. This could be happening because I'm using a slow network.

I have noticed one technical issue...when I click "First" on a thread that has more than one page, instead of going to the first page, it goes to the forum home screen. I don't know if this a site issue or my browser (I use Firefox). Just thought I should point this out.

Just tried and it's working for me. But I don't see the last pages number though...
