Two of my friends over on GameFAQs have been swiped by Nintendo, Raidman who lost stars, while 8-bit fan has lost everything and very ****** off.

Wow, that is crazy... I haven't followed Nintendo much since I stopped playing Pokemon. Now more of a Xbox guy.

^ That is classic. Not saying you're a bad person for switching, but in the last 5 years or so up to now people are leaving Nintendo and joining Sony or Microsoft. However people aren't leaving Sony or Microsoft and joining Nintendo, and this is a reason why. Nintendo are just plain dumb. There are so many pointless things in their games to either make gameplay worse, or they have removed a certain thing that would harm the game in no way. I've made several rants about their terrible and embarrassing advertising over here in Australia but I'll repeat here cause you haven't read any of them. Over in Aus, there are minimal or no ads about Nintendo product or games. But if there is one, it is either a random Japanese game or a general game that is advertised with happy happy joy music, has a white couch, and has a perfect family playing together. Then if there are advertisements for PS4/XBoxOne games (also minimal-none), they seem dark and cool. So much contrast with the advertising and you wonder why I am the ONLY PERSON OUT OF 250+ PEOPLE IN MY SCHOOL YEAR THAT I KNOW OF THAT PLAYS NINTENDO GAMES STILL. Also when you walk into a gaming store (EB Games is the ONLY thing we have, and I live in a major city) you always see people above the age of 8 over in the PS4/XBoxOne section and the little kids with their parents over in the tiny Nintendo section. Seriously I dread going in there to buy a game because I would HATE for someone I know to see me. Also you obviously know of Pokemon Go by now. Well, in their big chance, instead of them making it, they LET ANOTHER COMPANY USE THEIR MAIN GAME NAME AND MAKE THE LATEST SENSATION. Again, dumb.

Pokemon is all Nintendo really has. I like that, but look at the major competitors Sony and Microsoft. Yeah, Nintendo is updating there systems and software, but I look like compared to Sony and Microsoft, I'm still playing the PlayStation 1 or Xbox original.

... Nintendo needs to risk it all, step away from their security blanket, I know they introduced HDMI with the Wii U, not sure if it's true 1080p either. But they need to seek better quality and reach out to more than just their original fan base. Pokemon is fun, but step outside the boundaries and create their brand to beat the game titles like Call of Duty, Halo, Destiny, Gears of War, God of War and so on and so forth!

Nintendo needs to step up and reclaim what they originally owned!

But they won't. Nintendo considers themselves not part of the console race and focuses on family games. The hope is that one day people will get sick of all the fighting games Sony/Microsoft has and go down a new path of gaming. But it seems unlikely. Fighting games are what the 21st century is now. Everyone loves guns and explosions and dying these days.

Yeah I don't see Sony and Microsoft falling anytime... they have actually added a lot of family things into the console's now.

Nintendo, really should join the race. I know they have better technology without a doubt. They just won't use it.
