If the guest was required to make accounts again the forums and site would likely increase again. And I'd be able to know who is who.

Mmmm...Guest posting is both good and bad I guess? In general there's no reason for someone to come back and does it make it harder for your posts to be found, but if you go through the guest posts all of them are like "Join my guild!" "Add me here" "I need gems/diamonds/gold whatever dumb currency this mobile game takes" which is perfect for guest post because the post does the work for you.

It's essentially like twitch. You have registered viewers and unregistered viewers. Both count in views, but the larger the stream the higher your unregistered viewer count is. You can make your viewers have to register to chat, but that doesn't mean they will(and most don't) And even your registered viewers aren't guaranteed to talk and would rather lurk, even if subscribed to the channel(which cost money on twitch).

Speaking of twitch if I ever get the computer set up I wouldn't mind giving SC more of a podcast/streaming to its site

That's a nice idea Craizen. I know what you mean as well, I don't think forum guest is a good option based as we have no idea who they are. Drop ins happened all the time before, but if someone makes the effort to make a username. It's possible that they would come back and hit the game boards up or just the main site.

You watch people play video games/art/music/cooking and chill in some nice communities nikki, you may like it

Aeon - I think monthly newsletters stopped. At least they stopped being posted here.

They use to email them out, then again there use to be a SuperCheats Times where you would go and ask for people to congratulate you on hitting milestones.

Never seen that.

We should bring back some of the old things that these forums used to have.

No, only current active members.

Then it would run out fairly soon.

Just a thread we recognize a member for a full week. We wouldn't run out as quick as you think.
