The End of an Era?

I've rarely been on in the past few months. I thought it was about time to explain why and leave a possible goodbye message.

I began really using this site back in 2014. No I did not make a good impression and I got off on the wrong foot with a lot of you. One of my biggest regrets is how I came to join that site, and that I didn't just start posting in the forums regularly and having nice conversations.

I keep changing with age, I believe that's for the better. As a result I try to leave behind my embarrassments but I find SC is a bit of a reminder of me in my darker times where I really hated myself and thought I was a bad weird. This also begins to trigger memories from years ago which I have carried but buried deep and gets brought up again.

The one thing I never do, however, is properly express how I feel. The reason I've come here to explain myself is because I've been given an opportunity to (anonymously) open up and I thought you all deserved an explanation at least. I don't know if it's just because I'm writing this all at 1am and I can't get to sleep or if I would have done this in the morning or what...

Anyway I will try pop in from time to time. If you do want a chat or want me to see something on here etc, I am very regular on wikia.

Thanks for all the good memories on here. I believe this site really did help me with moving on in life.

It's good that you're opening up to someone. These days basically everyone has problems of sorts, so you shouldn't be ashamed about any of it.

The way you joined the site was fine! Most members post elsewhere first. What mattered was that you eventually joined this strange community. And if you're referencing the MVP thing, many of us did believe Warrior deserved the win, but only because of the work he had done, not any lack of work by you. You answered a LOT of questions and did a lot of work, and deserved your award

I would say goodbye, but I do believe you'll return. SC pulled me back in several times. Now I only really post in the NFL Discussion thread, but it's enough to keep me coming here daily. I'm sure once in a while you could always pop in for some Forum Games with CW. But, it't totally up to you.

If it's any consolation, you did a great deal to help me during a very tough time. Even though you replied after I told someone else, technically you were the first person I told my big secret (yes that secret) to. I was pretty frantic during those few days, but being able to talk to someone who wasn't going to, and couldn't judge me, was very helpful. Hopefully this anonymous opportunity of yours can have a similar effect in you.

Thanks Matt but as you said, as long as SC still exists, I'll probably end up popping into GC or FG a few times. Maybe I will come back regularly some day, just not now.
