God forbid anyone in my life finds the embarrassing posts I made when I was 14 but I appreciate you creating a place for that version of me to exist and make friends I still talk with occasionally. So thanks!
In some strange stroke of luck I remembered my old password for this account.
N4C here, and thanks Rich. It was a place to escape from the real world, until it became part of it. Us 13 year olds could pretend to be whatever we wanted, hiding behind usernames and constantly found that we don't really understand the world, but at least we bond over stuff just like junior high (Teams & Clans back in the day was the ****, proto-Reddit stuff).
Echoing what Steelers said here, I am blessed to grow up before the whole social media shitstorm. Can't imagine how paranoid and anxiety induced I would be with it.
Given I'm 21 now and when I first joined the forums is was 2012, I can say that I made the right choice posting on these forums instead of making a Facebook account. I had no need for it, since I saw my friends in real life. Instead, I got to make some friends from around the world.
Also I hope Rich works on improving the Discord server. It's got over 100 members, but is sort of sitting there doing nothing.

Thanks, Rich, for being an absolute legend and forming a grounds on which many of us could extrude our cringey hormonal selves.
Our regrets have been immortalized here to always remind us of who we'll hopefully never be again.
Eternal gratefulness. (Not actually sarcastic; I love this place. Seriously. Thanks.)

Been here since February 2004. It's May 2022 as of writing this. Wish Rich would revive this place. Guess I'm only here for the nostalgia now.
