Any team is good for a playthrough. Competitive depends on the gimmick you are planning are running. You can build practically any team and be successful with it.

I do not build teams anymore, sadly. But I do play some random battles of Showdown. No time loss + just as fun.

Yeah, with the single player games you can really run any team you like. When I was a kid I basically only used my starter + first bird pokemon and then legendaries. I played Leafgreen a few years ago and ran a team of Charizard, Kingler, Fearow, Parasect, Haunter, and Nidoqueen. It was cool to use some lesser used pokemon.

:O Same, yet I retired, I once won the NatDex tournament with a Volcanion team...

Mike: I was never into using the first flying type, except for 4th Gen. They always were meh. Pidgeot was cool and all, but Brock right off the back ruined it. lol Staraptor was goth/emo cool.

Staraptor was awesome. That gen had some pretty cool early Mons with Luxray too.

Ikr, I remember watching the show and had an eye on Clementine all the way... Lol. But at the beginning I keep failing to spell his name XD

Mike: Loved how it also got Close Combat. Rock Types got wrecked.

Sensei: I have not watched the anime since Battle Frontier. But I have seen the Serena kiss scene. Best ever.

Serena would be Ash's 1# GF pick for me! :3

Yeah, I think Serena is who most fans would pick for that role as well. OGs might say Misty, though.

If fan theory is correct, new girl is Ash and Serena child. Doubt that will ever be canon, but it would make sense.

It is kinda irrelevent, Misty could have gotten strongger, same with Serena.
but pretend their strength is equal to the last time we saw them in the anime.

(I also realised its unfair 3 vs 6 so pretend misty has to pick 3 from her 6)

The clear problem being Delphox, bc misty is a water specialist, meaning Serena would need to use her Delphox carefully.. in the end of the day, I think Serena has a chance, yet Misty will more likely win..

Misty would probably win a match between her and Serena, but that really does not say much when all the PokeGirls after Misty have been about Pokemon Contests and not actual battling.

Well thats certainly an extra dillema... Nvm that.....

Serena is clearly not equiped with much battling technique, while Misty being water gym leader (correct me If I am wrong) who trains and fights basically every one that wants the water gym badge (In Kanto)

Word is that Black 3 / White 3 will be coming next year. I hope so, as another faithful remake would likely send the Pokemon Community into an uproar. lol

If so, I hope there has been another time skip. Bianca can be the Professor and maybe Cheren can be Champion. N as Champion would also be a nice surprise, but I would imagine they keep him as a Red type secret battle at the end of the game.

The best possible outcome would B3W3 and then Legends Kyurem/Victini. However, I think we will either get one or the other.

Uh, sure. I'm not that kind of fan that awaits new pokemon games, funny that I know S&V from searching random things, then finding Pokemon has launched S&V

I would say Team 1, but it is very vulnerable to Rock Type Attacks.

Alright, would it need a coverage againt rock types? Like a water type?

It already has a strong meta in it. Just super weak against rock types, probably hanging on excadrill will do for rock type coverage.
