Most Difficult Game You've Played

Any games that stand out to you as being the most difficult you've ever played?

I find a lot of games quite difficult, or complicated at least, I much prefer the simpler games. All older games seemed to be a lot simpler.

Take for example the original Football Manager that came out in the 80s I think - super fun, super simple, but you look at iterations of the same game from this year, and they are just so much more complicated these days, and it you don't have the time to understand all of the options and things you can do, it just doesn't feel worth getting into.

Sometimes it does feal overwhelming to play nowday games... I like games that give slow pace development in options, long story.... Or even unbeatable games (infnite, like animal crossing). I play wii games most of the time, Zelda Skywsd sword was my fav, I made 2nd save file for Hero mode (you take double damage). Its so hard!!!! But to get hero mode you have to beat the game first... So, yeah.. But I unable to play SS because its on a USB I'll need to rewrite to a newer format... Its complicated.

My few attempts at playing Dark Souls went poorly. I really don't play too many hard games because I don't have the patience for it. Some racing games can be tough on higher difficulties. A couple weeks ago I went back and played Rumble Racing (an arcade racer sort of like Mario Kart that I played as a kid) and was losing the very first race. We used to cruise through the whole game. I think older games in general were much harder than they are now.

Most difficult game for me had to be Legends Arceus, but that is what made it so fun. It literally takes between 50-100 hours to complete the whole thing.

My younger self would have said the 1st Gen Pokemon Games. However, that was mainly because I was only like 4-5 and I could not figure out for the life of me how to battle Sabrina. News flash, little me, ya gotta defeat Team Rocket in Silph Co. lol

Yeah, I remember struggling with the early Pokemon games. Definitely got stuck in Gold and Silver. Not so much hard, but just not knowing where to go.

Losing direction is an annoying espect of large open world games... I nearly walked aroum the whole map just to find a boss arena in a rpg wii game once... XD

Yeah, Gen 1 and 2 definitely needed todays map alerts. lol

Idk, I think I'd like the games more with less direction. I don't need to be told EXACTLY where to go.

I think the younger kids definitely do, especially in open world stuff.

It was a nightmare trying to help my nephew finish Legends Arceus. Kid had randomly stopped with the story midway through and just started catching Pokemon, putting up loads of map flags in the process. lol
