People have battles, competitive tournaments that win you prizes and other crap. If I gave you a game, you'd be hooked. Most of the TRUE pokemon fans are about my age (14). You are never too old to like pokemon. Kids ages 5 and 6 could never play pokemon properly. The games are designed for people who actually have some strategy. (ie: Kids at least age 9)
