i say energy sword, nxt 2 smg's. w/ en. sword, i jump above an enemy, lock on, and lung at them from mid air, auto kill, and enemy hardly gets a shot on you. and smg's carry like a million bullets. (most human weopons r better in my opinion

My favourite weapon... thats a hard one.

you can dodge rockets you can dodge plasma swords (even when your opponent is in lock on to you)and you can keep your distance from a shotgun.
I have to aggree with ozkidez91. Imagine having dual needlers close up to your enemy. *fatal* A you can't run quick enough to not get hit with more than five needles.

u're right, needler are very effective, and awsome on grunts. one of my fav hings 2 do is stick a plasma grenade to a grunt and they say funny things. :-)
in multi, i like rockets. i usually shoot the grnd next 2 enmys, the cocusion is fatal, shotguns r very nice. u can drop a guy in 2-5 shots.

yo guys, i agree, the energy sword is great for close combat along with the SMG/shotgun/needler, but no offense but they dont ask for alot of skill maybe the shotgun does a bit, but barely, wereas if ur using a sniper rifle they are highly effective and i seem to almost get a kill per bullet, but then again, i suppose u cant beat a good old face to face duel with ur opponent :P

I now think that the best combo is plasma pistol and some human weapon (pistol). AWESOME against elites

The plasma pistol and human weapon combo is good on single enemies but not so good on large groups (you don't have time to recharge the plasma pistol). I like using a battle rifle or a carbine to snipe my enemies then keep a shotgun spare in-case they get too close. When I am duel wielding I like to use an energy weapon and a human weapon. Usually plasma rifle and SMG. The energy weapon will drain someones shield then the SMG finishes them off.
I don't pretend to be an expert, so sometimes I get it wrong.

The Shotgun is way CQC for me I'd rather stick to the SMG Plasma Rifle combo or SMG plasma pistol combo they both work well and can be used resonably far, Also a great combo is 2 magnums, it works veery far and it kills em fast!

Recently I've been sticking to just using the one weapon (not duel-wielding) because it let's you throw grenades. I also find the battle rifle and carbine incredibly useful to give covering fire to my teammates.
I don't pretend to be an expert, so sometimes I get it wrong.

man, who DOESN'T love the Energy Sword? oh how fun it is to lock on to a roaring elite, then slide your beam through his muscles and innards. . . . i also love the shotgun's 5-bullet salad. . .

everyone says the sword is the best but the shotty craps all over it.

I agree but for different reasons. I can't use the sword, I just can't pull the trigger at the right time but I have a small amount of skill with the shotgun.
I don't pretend to be an expert, so sometimes I get it wrong.

sword and shotgun for small levels for me and if its big i go shotgun sniper. for me thats the best and im unstopable.

in multiplayer sword and sniper. campaign is covenant carbine and sniper. thats the way to go
