We Can't Lock Our Own Forums

This is speaking from experience. I have tired of what is being said on the Kissing topic in General Chat and am contemplating locking it. The same is for the Say Hello thread; I believe that it does not belong in the General Chat thread anymore, seeing how it devolved from a congregational front into a source for rich spam and chat. I ask that we decide whether to lock our own forums, and unlock them except if you locked them in the first place.

Thanks for the suggestion - but I do not want to add a facility for general members to lock their own thread as by that time a thread may have evolved into something that other people were interested in reading about.
In thse cases only a moderator or admin should be able to close threads.

I see you took care of those threads. I thought there would be chaos from it...There's another thread on General Chat called Chat, which was supposed to be a rival to Say Hello.

Yes - Thanks for pointing those out... I will look out for that one too - If I don't spot it, and you feel it should be removed, just press the report bad topic button, and I'll sort it out there.
I've also done a few of those earlier so it may have gone already.

yes, i wouldnt mind if "Chat!" gets deleted, we have spam fest now.

oh yeah and delete "talk freely"
