Silence problems

Somewhere during the journey to Raithwalls Tomb, Penelo got hit with a silence ... thing. I used an echo herb, and a remedy [none of my characters had learned Vox yet] and no matter what I do, it says that it misses her, and therefore doesn't work. It doesn't go away even after I use the save crystal. When I have my characters learn Vox, nothing seems to work. Any hints, ideas, suggestions .... anything but starting over from the very beginning all over again?

ya its probably ur weapon status so dont start over.

yeah it happened to me too but come to find out it was the little fake magacite thing i think. i gave it to her and when i took it away from her it went away.

Ya, check everything that she is wearing and see if any of them have and add effect (add. eft) for example:the dawn shard..when it is equpied to a person..it wipes out that players MP and is no way to get it back unless taking off the shard

You should check your equipment

A lot of the items in the game have effects that can't be cured by normal means

i'm all sorts of good now, if only i could defeat tiamet or whatever that thing in the henne mines is ...

i never had problems with bosses more getting to the boss is harder i think.. and well my vaan and ashe r over lvl 50 and the others r on low 40s lol

I have givin everyone is my party specialties:

Vann-Sword and Sheild
Balthier-Guns and Bombs
Fran-Bows
Basch-Axes,Swords,Greatswords,Sheilds/
Ashe-Spears,Swords,Sheilds.
Penelo-Poles,Daggers.

I havn't been doing the story yet. I've just ben doing the marks.

I just fight alot so that they can get all the licenses. Mine are all around level 47 except for Vaan he's on 59 cause i use him all the time and i switch the others out when they level up. I don't know much about the story (and don't wanna know yet) but i have a feeling that he'll have to be stronger than everyone else. That's what i did on ffX.

My party is set up as fallows

Vaan: THE OL' MIGHTY ZODIAC SPEAR!!!!!!
Balthier: Boom stick
Fran: Mostly a bows, poles, and spear person
Basch: Two-Handed great swords and axes
Ashe: S&S
Penelo: Daggers and bombs

but that stuff doesnt help me if i dont have them? lol. i just need a strategy ...

Tiamet was hard for me on my first try but if I could beat it underleveled you should too.

But what ever you do never, and I mean NEVER, use your mist actions. You'll need the MP for healing and reviving and you should only use mist if you know you'll pull 9 chains and kill Tiamet.

it depends on how many people you have that know mist attacks because if you have more than three you can use the mist attack and when the first three finish and have no more mp put in somebody else that has a mist attack and use their's that way the other two will be able to link their mist attacks even if they don't have any mp. you'll still need to link alot of them together but that's just the way i did it.

yah, only use mist attacks when the hp is about 1/4, and if your quick enough, u'll win
