I feel as though I am the only one here who has never (or rarely) tasted the speed of high-speed or broadband. I am poor/ my parents refuse to change services, even though I found a deal which could save us cash...

I had it too and it was murder then I got Broadband too and now I have Wireless.

i have a frigg'n 10mb broadbandm we have 100mb before but my mom had to cut it off to save money.

I made the switch from modem to broadband back in '01. I had Verizon DSL but they screwed us by raising the bill. Now we're with Comcast. I can get a limit of 54MBPS because it's coming from my router. Should've got a NetGear. I think that allows for 108MBPS. And my download speed is now up to 1.5MBPS.

I used to use Dial up, and our computer was really slow. I swear, I could read War and Peace while waiting to connect to the internet...

Wow, so I'm one of 2 people on the entire site with dial-up. O.o If all goes as I plan, which it usually doesn't, then we get better internet in February when both me and my mom's service run out.

oh yeah, the time i've become a member of SC i use a dial-up, 56kb sucks. i need to wait like 5 minutes till the homepage of one site comes up. well not anymore!

It takes me about 2 minutes to fully load one SC page... This I blame on the sigs an' ads. If those weren't there, not only would the site not be as perdy, but I could load up in 30 seconds. ^,^ I'd feel spoiled.
