I'm pretty new to the GT world (forgive me all you die hards), I join you from a NFS (Underground 1 & 2, Most Wanted etc) just put your foot down mindset and I need some help here.
Back to basics .. what's the best way to get a nice clean pull off ?? - I'm busy with my lisence and can't get gold on the first bloody stage, I'm a fraction out and the only thing I can put it down to is the my pull off.
Any HELP ??

Okay, have you found that when you click in R3 (right analog stick) a dotted line shows giving you the best path? Blue= accelerate, Red= Brake, White= Do nothing except steer.
Okay, now that's out of the way, the test you're trying to get gold on is the 0-400m or something like that isn't it? Well the best thing to do is rev your car to about 4-5000 rpm and hope for the best. Don't forget R3!

The other thing I discovered that helped is the R2 button, by holding it down I stay in the current gear on automatic cars.

Any B or A licence test has the dotted line- use it to your advantage.
I got all silvers in B just by using R3 to show the best racing line, and getting those revs nice and high, but not too high!

The best way to get started is do your licenses.(special optional)
Use the car you get for international A
And do the 2 race in the special conditions hall
It's not such a hard race.
You get a good car you can sell for 260.000
The get a good rally car. (I took a Mitsubishi evo 5 fully tuned)
do the cathedral rocks 1 (hard)
Then you get the escudo dirt trial car.
Its a god car for lots of races.
And when you get to 25% you can do the 24H race on the N�rburg ring
