Cant find legendary dog

i need help ive beten the elite four and i cant encounter entei

It's all a matter of luck until you first find it. Look wherever you can in Kanto's grass until you find it.

Repels will help alot in your search for the dog (Only if your leading pokemon is below the level of the dog)

First off, to encounter Entei you need to have started with Bulbasaur. He was you starter correct?

You should have to start with Squirtle to get Entei. Start with the worst starter for the worst dog, but no, start with the worst starter for the best dog, how foolish.

It's not going to jump out of a box and walk into your pok�mon. Here's a trick:

Make sure all the pok�mon in your party are at level 49 or under (deposit anything higher).

Use Max Repels until you encounter it. Any Repel based items do not stop the dogs from appearing.

This saves time and.....frustration.

Squirtle gets you Raikou ND... Then Char gets you Suicune.

That's my point. Squirtle's the worst pok�mon to start with out of all three pok�mon games and he gets you the best dog. Charmander, the best starter, gets you the second best dog, although Suicune comes very close to Raikou.

I usually look around the grassy area east of Vermilion. For some reason I find they appear more quickly there.

I've found them common above the Rock Tunnel entrance for some reason...

How is Squirtle the worst starter to be with?

For the Q: Legendary Dogs are hard to find. It takes time though. Once you find it, get a pokemon that can use a move/ability that lets your opponent not escape.

An' as Mario said, those moves are how I caught mine with lovely Ultra Balls before I became a cheater. I used a Wobuffet an' Mirror Coated Sui to death. Well, not death...

Bulba isn't that bad, but entei is bad....bulba could be good you know

And why did yo call him a playa?

To end the starter conversation, here is the list for Kanto:

1) Charizard
2) Venusaur
3) Blastoise

Now back on the dogs, a Dugtrio with Arena Trap would help out, as would a Wobuffet from Cerulean Cave. A Crobat with Mean Look would be good, and an Ariados with Spider Web...meh.

Basically just trap the dog an' prepare to fight him. Don't poison him or burn him though if you use Crobat er somethin' like that. Safe bet is Wobuffet or Dugtrio. Those won't hurt him too much.

and don't use the moves that hurt him a lot like grass or electric, use fire type moves or steel and get his hp to the red bar and then start ballin him

John, he's looking for Entei, not Suicune.

Wouldn't Entei just use Roar ?

Not for sure, but that is another thing to watch out for.
