Evolving Eevee using Happiness (why can't I get it to evolve into Umbreon/Espeon?!)

Ok, last night, when my Eevee was about lvl 35, Daisy said it can't get any happier; so I maxed it out. But even when I gained more lvls it never said, "What? Eevee is evolving!" and showing the evolution thing into Espeon. Why is that?

Eevee will only evolve into Espeon or Umbreon in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, where there is a time factor. Which means you're going to have to make it happy over there all over again. Sorry about your luck.

Ah man, so I have to trade it my Sapphire? That stinks, and there's no one who can check it's happiness there, and if there is, I don't know where they are.

In Firered/Leafgreen, there's no time. In Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby, there's time, and you can evolve Eeve to Umbreon/Espeon there.

Oh, ok. Oh, and one more thing, what lvl of Happiness is after, "Oh. Your Pokemon... It's getting used to you. It seems to believe in you. Because it's been like that for the past 5 hours or so.

wanting to be babied? kind of a weird thing. Oh, and what's an easy way to get it to like me? I mean, I traded the Eevee in when it was lvl 48, and now it's only 55. It only says it's starting to believe in me.

To get it happy with you, try:
Walking around with it
Never putting it in the PC
I think you can let your rival's sister give it a cleaning

Ok, putting it in the PC has absolutely NO effect on happiness. It's only something they lied about.
Anyway, fainting does make it dislike you, but only a small bit. Walk around with it, gain levels, use items like Clacium, Protein, etc. (if you still can), and others to that effect.
