Treeko, not just because of his type advantage, he's better because he's really fast and that can be a really big helper in battles, I chose treeko in my Pokemon Ruby and ended up beated the eltie for with just him on level 60! No items either, exept for like two rives used in between a couple of matches.

i don't know, i always choose mudkip because of his evolved forms. a water-ground type is vey powerful.

hey listen if you are chsing a pokemon the first pokemon choose tochic it might look weak but when it evolve third time is the best and fire have advantag against water

a fire advatage against water? and besides, just being water or ground seperatly, your still screwed against grass. but if you combine them, you lose the electric weakness. and the two types combined dont add any power to the grass types.

Well actualy the starter you choose is good in the way you train them. If the trainer is good the pokemon will be good.
