Just wanted to know if growlith could be obtained in Pokemon Pearl, or does it have to be transfered from another version through Pal Park.

If you put Pok�mon FireRed it will be available on Routes 201 and 202.

I don't have FireRed is there any other way to get it, besides trading over Wi-Fi? Another question how do I get the starters from Silver and Gold on Pearl without using an AR? Thanks again Mummification. ;)

The Johto starters can be found on Pok�mon Emerald. Each time you play and complete the Pok�dex, you get to choose one. So you must play from the start a total of three times.

Is it just Emerald? If so, that'll be hard for me to accomplish. I sort of misplaced my copy of Emerald and can't seem to find it anywhere.

Yes. They are only available on Emerald. None of the other four games have them.
