Well that was a shock topic to suddenly appear. Though I never really liked the "Feel sorry for me" topics (No offence) you and your dad's best friend have my sympathies.

Post edited. If it's any consolation it may be better not to see him. Seeing someone before they die makes the final goodbye a lot more painful.

I know how you feel, my math teacher this year has been away for quite a few months and was battling skin AND brain cancer. And he was the coolest teacher ever. ):

Whoah.. My friends uncle had Brain Cancer, he died a couple of days after the operation though... Said it couldn't be removed.

If he was really that close to you Gamerad, then expect a lot of therapy and hours upon end of chatting to people that ask "How do you feel?" all the time. I don't want to sound negative, but I thought I would just warn you. When someone dies, it hurts, and can really screw with your head.

I know how you feel, in this year gone by one of my granfathers died of cancer, and one of my nanas, and my other grandfather died of cancer related illnesses, All of that happened in ONE year. Its tough times.

I know how you feel as well. My dad died when I was young, and it's hard to deal with it. But you should go see him a last time. It may seem hard at the time, but if you don't go see him that last time, you'll regret it later in your life.

My cousins best friend's dad had the same with brain cancer. Its so sad. I'm sorry man.
