Recruiting

i'm currently playing pokemon mystery dungeon blue, im pretty new to it all i need help on how to recruit members to the team?

You can only recruit members after you defeat the Skarmory on Mt. Steel. Then when fighting other Pok�mon, if you have their Friend Area, and you, not your partner, defeats them, they may offer to join your rescue team. Your chances increase if you are at a higher level, if you are holding the item Friend Bow, and it is possible that your rank also helps you recruit others, though we aren't quite sure.

Rank does not interfere the recruit rate. And you must have the Pokemon's Friend Area (there are some exception to this) to recruit Pokemon.

It sais on the official web that rank DOES affect recruitment. you can get a friend bow in a wonder mail ask at the wm gen

Which official site? Hacker like the site which A-OK gen on and the author of Pokedex FAQs (TFerguson) say rank does not affect the recruit rate.

* A number is added to the recruit chance depending on the team leader's level:
o 29 or less: 0
o 30-39: 50

o 60-69: 125
o 70-79: 150
o 80-89: 175
o 90-99: 240
* If a random number from 0 through 999 is less than the recruit chance, the Pokemon can be recruited.

* To be recruited, the Pokemon and the team leader must be within a 1-tile range of each other.

If you want to recrute pokemon you have better chance if you have a friend bow or you have a better chance the more difference between yours and there level.

Some legendarys you dont need there area.They sometimes come with it.

That is why I said "(there is some exception to this)"
