Legendaries and their abilities

I've started this just to see what peoples opinions are about why most legendaries have the ability pressure.

Personally I think its just sad because it doesn't benefit the pokemon, they should have abilities that boost their attacks or something.

What do you guys think?

It merely fits with their theme and status of "legendary pokemon"... but not every legendary has Pressure as an ability. Personally, I would have some of them have Intimidate instead (but that would become unbalanced (as they are already a cut above the rest in terms of stats alone).

But there are numerous legends who can use Pressure rather well, Zapdos/Suicune/Lugia/Deoxys-L gets a mention here...

Pressure stinks.....i need more words.....er....They should make something unique for only legendary pokemon.Lol....Because some other pokemon also have pressure so, yeah...

Pressure is decent if the user has a decent movepool. Like Aerodactyl can stall them pretty well. But it should be more offensive anyway.

really i dont think pressure is a good ability but some should have better.According to the summary and the cartoon lugia should have a
special ability that boosts its attack.But it only has pressure.
And the sumarry says it has very high attack power but looking at its
stats says somewhat otherwise.

i dont mind pressure on legendaries but if you put it on like a dusclops its pointless

The games and the anime are separate entities anyway; they're not consistent with one another to begin with.

Not to mention Lugia's too strong even for the uber meta game; now why the heck would you want it to have something that "raises attack power"?

Not to mention Lugia's one of the best Pressure users because it never dies...

I don't know which of the following two statements is funnier:

"Pressure is pointless on Dusclops"
"Lugia needs more attack power"

Pressure is good, if utlized correctly. Double battles are really good with Dual Pressure, but it is far from a legendary ability.

i think that pressure is quite a good abilite for a legendarie tohave because they have high a attack stat

Pressure is ok on most legends, and some utilise it well, but pokemon like Weavile who are fast but have crap defence shouldn't have it, they use it once or twice and get murdered.

That's different; Weavile can use Spite to deplete the PP of a powerful move (read: stone edge/fire blast) instantly if it gets in a sub or a protect. Weavile's a tactical pressurizer, not one who stalls and hopes they run out of PPs eventually.
