Salmence vs Garchomp

who would win in this big battle

definately garchomp would own salamence

I think Garchomp will beat Salamence, since Garchomp has higher Speed, Defence, Special Defence and HP. Although Salamence has higher Attack, a mere difference of 5 base value won't matter much between a 1 Hit K-O and a 2 Hit K-O. Hence, I say go for Garchomp.

well if you gave salamence focus sash, and then used a dragon claw salamence would own garchomp

Then give Garchomp a Focus Sash too? So then Garchomp would win since its faster?

I say Salamence, because you can make it so that Mence survives a Claw/Rage/Rush, but Chomp can't survive a Meteor, no matter how hard you pump it's HP/SP.DEF EVs.

It's a pretty hard decision for me to choose. It depends what moves each of them has. *few minutes later of deciding* I'd have to say Salamence.

hmm, when i tryed getting my salamence to learn draco meteor it wouldn't, should i teach it him? n if so how?
and yh althought garchomp has the speed it lacks the power, salemance would own it

If someone specifically asks for their post to be deleted, then don't post just to tell them that you deleted it. It creates unnecessary posts, which are spam.

But I'm meaning this as a suggestion. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job. I understand that everyone moderates differently, but I'm just pointing this out to you.

Salmence 6 Garchomp 4 i vote for garchomp because he has good defence compared to salmence so then garchomp speed so then one hit probadly would kill salamence so i think garchomp would win

garchomp does better than mence on ss teams (duh)
salamence makes a much better special set (also duh)
garchomp has a slightly higher speed (i hope everyone knows this)
salamence has a better movepool, namely dd, hydro pump, et... (the only thing garchomp has movepool wise that mence doesn't is sd and outrage edit: as well as stab EQ)
salamence has a higher stat in both offenses (especially sp. attack)
garchomp has better defenses, but not much better (if memory serves)
salamence has an immunity to ground, but is weak to SR
garchomp takes neutral to ground, grass, and water, but is strong against rock (and thus SR)
salamence has intimidate

these are all things to take into account, and the obvious verdict is ... depends
I have a specsmence on my team, just so u know (he rips teams apart after heatran traps and kills blissey with magma storm and explosion - obviously heatran is on my team too...they work well together)

if you want really in depth analyses of both pokemon, go to smogon.com/forums and look at the analyses index under dead matter all the way at the bottom of the initial page that comes up

Smogon analysis are for people who are actually good at pokemon... half their sets don't work if you don't know how to use it, that, plus the fact that most of their sets are "utility" sets, not fit for a particular team.

But then again, it's more important to realize that Mence can hit hard which ever attacks you give it, where as Chomp will always fall back to physical attacks... (and no, ChainChomp fails like crazy... Smogon comes up with really dumb ideas sometimes...)
