Almost any genre of Rock is great (With the exception of that pop rock-ish crap). Hard Rock, Alt Metal, Hair Metal, some nu-metal, and progressive metal (Just recently) are basically what I listen to.
The bands I listen to are Mudvayne, Metallica, System Of A Down/Serj Tankian, Mushroomhead, Slipknot, Godsmack, and KoRn (Hopefully I'll get some Iced Earth, Killswitch Engage, Type O Negative, Anthrax, and Iron Maiden to add to my album collection by the middle of the summer)

regular rock is okay, but Nu- metal and metal and types of metals are awesome.
KoRn ftw, they is number one! Slipknot, godsmack, HWP, marilyn manson, NIN, RATM, SOAD, disturbed, drowning pool, etc.

I'll listen to to stuff like Rod Stewart, Fall out Boy, Meatloaf, Children of Bodom, SOAD, Silverchair, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Alicia Keys, The Beatles, The All American Rejects, Pendulum, Plain White T's, Nirvana, Kings of Leon and even some Spice Girls.
Laugh if you must, but I'll sit here epitomising my title of the most expansive music taste.
