OK... We can add captions under the avatar, and may introduce those along with custom titles when areound the time we'll dealing with something similar to point 2... We are thinking of various improvements to people's bios which I'm hoping will come online around Christmas time.
The sigs have to be quite small - But I will look into line spacing.

We could add smilies at some point - but having a forum leader based on post count will never happen, especially as we have the spam fest.

Yeah that would be good, I'd like to see how active the Message Board REALLY IS...sorry Rich but I don't really think there are 75,000 members browsing the forums everyday like you said!

I never said they were browsing the forums, but we definately get 75,000 visitors (not members) browsing our website every day.
Who's online is a bit complicated, it may get added (with an option to opt of the display).

I have noticed that hardly anyone is around these days... where have our precious members gone?

There is no doubt that CP is a great site - it's hugely popular.
But we are also hugely popular and I believe we are more proactive at adding new features to our site. We are always in development - adding new features, refining existing ones.
What other game site offers questions and answers the way we do? We also seperate out user submitted cheats from stuff we gather in-house to help people find the 'best of' cheats quickly. Our pop-up count per page is really low, and we have none of those nasty Active-X download things.
Unfortunately time is against us to get all of the changes I wanted to implement in time for this holiday season, but you can rest assured there will be many further improvements during 2005.
