how do u unlock the chests to get the ultimate weapons

You mean the area where you put in cheatcodes? In order to do that you must get to the part in the game where are on Cid's airship with Yuna on your team. You should see Cid on the bridge so talk to him and you should see an option to put in your own passwords.

Type in Godhand to unlock the secret area where Riku's hidden weapon is.

Type in Victorious to unlock the secret area where Riku's special armor is.

Type in Murasame to unlock the special area where Auron's special weapon is.

no not that i already know where they all are but when i get to them it says they wont open

You need the cloudy mirror, then go to Macalania Woods and walk up the invisible path, then when you find the big ball type thing, press X in front of it to get the Celestial Mirror. Then you need the sigils and the chests will open

To get the Cloudy Mirror, go to the southwest part of Calm Lands on a chocobo. Press O on the feather and the chocobo will fly down below. Here, there will be an intersection. Go left and examine the sphere, you'll also see the champion chocobo. Now, go right at the intersection and ride the chocobo. The race will start, your goal is to get to the central platform ahead of the champion chocobo. You'll receive the Cloudy Mirror if you win.
