This is something between me and a friend, he hates music and loves sports. Im the same, only in reverse. He thinks music is nothing, and it is a waste of time. His little mind does not know how wide and deep music goes. Music has a wide part in religion. Does sports? No. Sports has lots of different...Activities. And? Who cares if a few guys can kick a ball, thats not talent (Im not putting anyone down here, I understand if this is your thing. It does not appeal to other people such as myself), but if you can play an instrument, that is talent. If your in a band or orchestra, you have some skill. It shows you can play an instrument, watch a composer if needed, and listen to everyone around you and try keep at the same pace as everyone else is going.

Basicly this comes down to fans, and how long music and sports has been around. Not sure about sports, but I know music has been around for...Ever basicly. Music has lots of different styles, which vary so much.

Enough of me talking about music though. Which do you prefer? Please post a comment. Make it fair, so if you like sport and hate music, dont side with me. Tick sports. This is to either prove me or my mate wrong.

Also, please note that this is not about talent. This is about which of the two you prefer.

Without music, there would be no sports.

For music makes up the epic setting of all sports, dog.

Most of them.

Sport really doesn't appeal to me. Either watching, or playing. Music, on the other hand... I've almost always got music on when I can have music on. I can't play music to save my life, but I love listening to it.

Sports and music go hand in hand for me. I compete at my best when I am listening to some good music.

WOW! omg you guys must not be very active! Don't get me wrong, I love rock! But sports just shoots to the top, almost every game is considered a sport if it involves activity, not to much you can get fit of sports, where as in music-nope, and sports require just as much talent and practice as music, sports you go through aganizing hours in the hot sun to become fit and great at a sport, and its enjoyable, learning to play an instrument gets annoying and frustrating for what? to make a couple appealing sounds... look at the olympics! that is the most known thing in the world just about! music, theres nothing unique loads of other people can do what you do, that sucks. sure music is cool (sometimes) but sports is ULTIMATE!!!!

Sure I'm active.

Moving my fingers to type and click a mouse is so draining.

sure =/, but seriously, they both are important for entertainment, but music is the start-off for the great sports, in most games, sports are the main show and music is the opening act

"music, theres nothing unique loads of other people can do what you do"

As opposed to sports, where it's a load of people doing exactly the same thing (exciting things like running around a track, or kicking a ball around on grass, or even... lifting heavy objects), except some of them are slightly better, or luckier, or more drugged-up than the others? How unique.

Hobolloyd, you sir, are an idiot.

If you think there is nothing unique in the world of music, you deserve to be deaf.

The only sport I like is mixed martial arts so I ONLY watch UFC when i can. Other than that music takes everything. I much prefere walking in the dark listening to "Last Sunrise" by Aiden, than watching a game of (american) football.

well, sports actually have been used religiously in the past.

Dutring the time of the Ancient Egyptians, wrestlign was a huge thing with everyone in Egypt, and they ruled themselves as a theocracy, in which religion and government are not sperate. Religion was part of their everyday lives, as was wrestling, for quite a few.

Chances are, knowing the Ancient Egyptian stylings to life, there was most likely a God of Wrestling, as there was of the Sun, the dead, worksmen, etc.

I prefer Music, though Smile

i can play several insterments
and can catch a ball going 70mph

music requires talent but anyone can do it

but sports such as american football requires muscle and footwork
along with good hand eye coordination

Achieving in Sport gives you that sence of pride and accomplishment, it's great, and the best thing for me <3

Then music gives you some tunes in which you can soak up that feeling of accomplishment, init bruv.
