Id say it doesnt make much difference when you hit a certain age. But younger teens go through so many changes that a girl thats about, lets say 3 years older than the boy would make a hell of a difference and a difficult relationship to maintain.
Curry if youre girlfriend is older than you it doesnt matter. You have to be atleast 19 right?
If shes older who cares? But if youre 14 and youre girlfriend is like 17. Thats hitting dodgy territory. Wouldnt you agree?
Id think it would be the same if it was 17yr old boy, 14yr old girl.

Now that you've all taken my post spectacularly out of context, allow me to retort.
D_Otaku, that link is a completely irrelevant counterpoint to my argument. If you care to open your eyes and read my post properly, you'll see that I was asking male SC members why they couldn't date girls who are older than them. I said nothing about paedophiles preying on young girls, so unless any of our members are twelve years old and married to a forty-three-year-old woman, your post is invalid.
To further illustrate my original point, I would first like to say that I do not believe relationships where either participant is not legally an adult have any worth. I will henceforth refer only to relationships where both participants are above the legal age of consent. This being the case, I do not see any reason why the woman being older should make the slightest speck of difference to anything or anybody. If anybody can put forward a valid argument for why it should matter, going beyond such arguments as worrying about what your friends might think, then please feel free to do so. I can see a good debate coming from this.
And on a more personal note, my girlfriend is five years older than me and we've been dating for almost a full year. We've never cared what anybody thought of the age difference.
