Hit all the rocks in town with either a shovel or an axe until you find one that releases a money bag when you do. Continue to hit it as many times as you can until it finally stops releasing bags of money. With every hit you do, the rock will release more gold. This can be done once a day.

the faster you hit the rock, the more money it gives ive gotten 8500 bells

no, u have to buy a new one. Use a shovel, it doesnt break.

i shovel is needed to do this trick. Buy it at tom nooks. This trick can also work on the GameCube game.

This is a trick for when you are using the shovel. When you hit the money rock it causes you to move back, right? Well before you hit a rock dig two holes behind you and then hit the rock, this will make you stay in place and you will get more bells.
