But how exactly do i fish ? i have the shadow coming to te bait and once it bobs the fish moves back and again and i pull and the fish runs away ! how do i fish ?

When the fish touches the bait with a nibble, it moves back, be patient and the second a splash occurs, press A once, you'll struggle to get the fish out, then suceed.

yeah, if da fish is big, it is harder to catch.
