Assists are a hugely annoying part of this game. Think you're going to get a wiked kill, someone else takes its & you're left with a fraction of the XP you should've gotten.
Or even more annoying, Second Chance assists. You do the work that'd normally kill a dude, then he goes into Second Chance, & Just as you reload, a team mate steals your kill from right under your nose.
There been any hugely annoying moments in Black Ops where you think you've gotten an awesome kill, and end up getting nothing but an assist or two?
Today whilst at my friends place, Nuketown; starting spawn on the side with the BBQ - using Marathon/Lightweight, run to the left, & jump throw my semtex right ontop of the parked car by the garage. Usually, I get at least a double kill whenever I try that. This time, nothing. I did get 3 assists though ;_;
Also, does anyone know how the assist system works in BO? I've noticed I get different points values. Chris Smoove made a comment in one of his videos, that your assist XP points are equal to the amount of damage you inflicted on the person (rounded to the nearest 10 points).
Anyone know how it works?

I'm not completely sure but it seems that every time you get a guy to second chance and then somebody else kills him, you get 50 points.

No, you get 80 xp for a second chance.
The amount of times I've come insanely close to an epic double kill, only for someone else to get the kills.

I don't seem to have a problem with this, If I'm going to shoot at someone then I'm going to kill them or die myself and if I get an assist then its because somebody has killed the guy that just shot me. Don't feel its been any different though all of the CoD games, Speaking of stealing second chance kills...I'm a slag for that
if theres 2 people in front of me and 1 is on second chance I'll kill him first just to annoy who ever took him down to it but I play FFA mostly so I don't care - its kill or be killed!
