From personal experience the AK's actually one of the least used assault rifles. The ACR and SCAR-H have been the more popular ARs of choice. AK-47 still trumps them both though.

I remember in wolverines,when you get to the alley after using hte smoke grenade i just look for a ak steal that and use it for hte rest of the level(even easier if it has a acog scope iwth it)

The SCAR-H is by far the dominate gun, more powerful and more accurate. It is the MP40 of MW2. I will use anything I can to win, but the thing about me is that I'm proficient in many different play styles, so if someone starts complaining I'll just destroy them in a different manner.
I wasn't taking a shot at everyone for using the SCAR-H - but for me, I try to difference myself from everyone that uses the same gun, every match, every time they play, just because its one of the better guns.
That takes the fun out of the game for me.
I prefer to use lesser used guns & get good with them, so I can start handing beat downs to all the SCAR-H users. It's pretty satisfying. Although fairly difficult because SCAR-H + Stopping power is a hard combo to counter if it comes to a straight out fire-fight in the open lol
