From faith i coulda' told that a prophecy was made by zhuge liang to liu bei that Liu bei was the one to make one land of virtue but During the downfall of Fan castle(and mai castle) everything began to go.espially when Guan yu had poison in his arm and had it scraped off!After the he wasn't allowed to go into battle for about 6-12 months.But thank fully liu bei tried and successfully recruited very capable officers such as huang zhong,ma chao E.C.T!

Interesting point... I don't know. I personally think that whoever died first out of Zhuge Liang or Sima Yi was going to lose the war. As it is it was Zhuge Liang, so Wei won the war. If Sima Yi died first, Shu would've won the war, and conquered Wu.

Yeah,True point there!

I mean, let's face it, towards the end (or, some might argue, throughout the entire thing), it was really between Shu and Wei, with Wu hovering about on the edges. I'm not saying Wu weren't powerful, but most of the later fights in the war were between Shu and Wei.
