poll:shu vs wei vs wu

hmmm since stradegy is big in this game i think that making a poll about the best stradegist in the game.

representing shu:zhuge liang(1)
pang tong
representing wei:sima yi
cao cao
representing wu:zhou yu
lu xun

the reason why i did not chose lu meng is because the 2 up there now liked stradegy like from a early stage but lu meng did not.after zhou passed away sun quan wanted lu meng too take up stradegy.

well my vote has gotta' be zhuge liang because he does great ploys,good stradegy and has remarkble intellect.

please say why you've chose the person.

Zhuge liang : great plans, intelligent and able to see the enemys move before it happens...

Cao Cao : proof that just overwhelming odds can be a form of strategy, however to overconfident, his strategies only worked due to the officers under him...

Zhou yu : brilliant strategiest, his use of fire put fear into other men, how ever he relied too heavilly Huang Gai for most of his plans...

By far in order is :

Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Cao Cao, Lu Xun, Sima Yi, and then Pang Tong

so you thought zhuge liang of shu and cao cao of wei and zhou yu of wu?ok

Pretty much, they are what defined the 3 kingdoms in my opinion...

I don't know if I would consider Xiahou Yuan one of the greatest for Wei...

Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Gan Ning for each kingdom...

Order would be Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun (They faught and matched Lu Bu), Zhao Yun, Gan Ning, and Sun Ce then Xiahou Yuan is some where down the list of other officers who deserve that title more than he...

of course the god of war is first!he is great.

xhiahou dun hands down is overall first!!! then sun ce, then guan yu.

What? You didn't include Zhang He? He's about as close to a cheat character as you're going to get!

Anyway, I'd vote Xiahou Dun. He's just the best.

I vote zhuge laing or liu bei as they are both powerful leaders

Sima Yi wasn't really a leader... but even if he was, I wouldn't vote for him. Hm... the rest are all good really, with the possible exception of Liu Chan... I'd go for either Cao Cao, Sun Jian, or Zhuge Liang, I think. Liu Bei relied on Zhuge Liang a bit too much, I think, wheras Cao Cao and Sun Jian made themselves out of nothing, especially Sun Jian. Sun Ce and Quan are good, as well.

Nah,Liu bei was a very powerful war lord,the main reason why cao cao had good leader ship and made good stradegies is because of the officers serving him such as xu huang,dian wei,zhng he(not very good or anything but...)cao pi,xiahou dun ECT
but infact liu chan was a terrible leader along side with zhuge liang's successor:jiang wei,at this time they had not as capable officers under shu.how ever in early times of the 3 kingdoms period many powerful men severed under shu.when shuge liang was alive he only lost 1 battle out of the 5 battles on the campain of the north.this was due to running out of supplies not of battle.

Cao Cao was a good strategist, before the civil war he wrote various books on the subject. Yes, he listened to his advisors, but that's a good thing, not a bad thing. And how can you call Dian Wei a good strategist? Don't get me wrong, I like Dian Wei, but he's a bodyguard, no more, no less. And Cao Pi wasn't really a military man - in history, he made relatively few campaigns, focusing on domestic matters instead. Remember, no matter what he does in the game, he actually died before Zhuge Liang's northern campaigns (as it does in fact say in the encyclopedia). Oh, and I do resent the insult about Zhang He. >:-( Zhang He was a brilliant general - all that feminine stuff is just a load of crap Koei threw in to make his character 'interesting'.

OK, maybe I was a bit harsh on Liu Bei. He was a good leader, you just don't particularly get to see his strategic side because he gets Zhuge Liang so early on. I do agree with you about Liu Chan and Jiang Wei, as well, to some extent, at least.

Yes, I got that part, but what did you mean when you said that Cao Cao's strategies only worked from the officers serving Wei? I didn't understand that.

I mean as in,his stradeiges only worked because wei had capable officers officers in wei and althoiugh cao cao made pathetic stradegies it only workerd becuase of capable officers

No... Cao Cao strategies weren't pathetic. Where are you getting this from? If Wei only did well because of its officers, then how come it was always such a strong power even when it didn't have Sima Yi? Remember, Shu and Wu had good officers as well - and they spent half their time allying to defeat Wei! No, Cao Cao was a good strategist.

Infact,historical facts said that wu and shu only allied with each other very briefly,also i learnt that the novel "romance of the three kingdoms" (which is what this game is basewd on)are kinda' fake in a way.not all ways as officers died they were said to be in the three kingdoms.Also i'm paying close attention to the three kingdoms novel,the TV series as i have the series(wipey!)
