NPCs

The original overseer was pretty lame IMO. He's all like "ah don't hurt me!!!!" then runs or fights very lamely.(can't remember which)

I might have said the Overseer if I didn't know what I know through the game....same goes for Amata, the lying sack that she is. LOL

Although there is probably no one here, Fallout 3 was awesome. So I'm not letting this thread die yet.

On Topic: Fawkes is a powerhouse. He/she can really handle anything the Enclave (or anything else) throws at him/her with that gatling laser. Every time Fawkes storms into battle, the words "Hulk Smash!" come to mind.

That comment might go better in the followers topic.

Lucas Simms is still one of the coolest character in the game. Cowboy hat, duster, Chinese Assault Rifle, awesome.

That's true, but seeing as Fawkes is an NPC, it works just as well.

Lucas IS cool. He is so cool that I killed him and took his stuff before I blew up Megaton with my evil character. I don't see why Moriarty is considered "in charge" of Megaton, considering how he just harasses Gob in his bar all day.

It says that him and Simms seem to be in a battle (not physically of course) for leader/mayor or whatever of Megaton. Fawkes is a dude, The Vault says so and it said that Bethesda has said that Fawkes is a dude.

My bad about Fawkes. But what I'm saying about Moriarty is that no one really seems to care/like him, so I don't know why he's considered as co-leader of Megaton. He just hangs out in the bar, doing nothing but harassing Gob and Nova. And me. A LOT.

Side Note: Charon + Outcast Power Armor = Darth Vader.

Moriarty has a bar/hotel thing which usually equals big bucks (or caps in this case) so he has control of a lot of money in Megaton which can make anyone powerful.

True, but considering how no one likes him, they could always get together and throw Moriarty out, take over his bar/hotel, and stop harassing Gob and Nova. Then someone else (or everyone) will get a share of the pie. Money doesn't help so much when you're face to face with all the citizens of a town that hates your bloody guts (with the exception of Moira, who is actually ok with you bombing Megaton and turning her into a Ghoul).

Moira's ok with everything unless you crush her dreams. All he would have to do is pay them all off and they wouldn't harass him which I feel he might have already done since no one likes him. It's a game so we can't take into account what they aren't suppose to do.

I feel bad for that mercenary who gets stuck with Moira. And yeah, I went a little far with Moriarty. After all, it is just a (awesome) game. Also, do you know if Peter Stevens (I think that's his name) is still alive in the game? He was the overseer for Vault 80-something, the one with the super-mutants. I read one of the terminals that contained his logs, and he seems to have gone insane. I just thought it would be cool to meet an insane person in the game (any one who is anything like Sheogorath is a friend of mine). This post, if anyone is wondering, is relevant to the topic, since we're talking about an NPC.

And, I would like to know who is that person on the loudspeaker in the eastern part of that wasteland, most noticeably near the Ranger's Compound. He just seems random.

Yeah he would give you stuff and is super nice.

The only thing he ever gave me was a business suit (white or black, I don't remember). Is there anything in particular you can do with him? Like a side-quest?

No he's just a random encounter and he always gives you a suit, that's all he does.
