Im not sure if someone already said this, but the creatures in Bahamut's
lair give out 3800-5700 exp. Also, Bahamut is really easy, but if ur too [color=red][/color]scared...

anyway...What lvl should i be to fight the monsters guarding the weps in

you mean in Eureka? any level should do...as in the level you arrived at the crystal palace should be sufficient...for all but the Echidna that is...Its skills were too good when I first tried it...so I raised myself about 5 lvls, and about 15-20 job levels for each character

I had a hard time beating amon (i only tried once and i havn beat him).
i was way under lvled and i only had jus got the 4th jobs
