I just got this game yesterday and I got pretty far in it but the problem is I don't know to save. Everytime I try saving it just says "Failed to read memory card." WHat should I do?

for starters make sure the memory card is in the correct slot.
second make sure it is a psone memory card since ps2 memory cards dont work with a psone game.
going by the information: Everytime I try saving it just says "Failed to read memory card".
