Auto-Protect, Auto-Potion, Auto-Phoenix, and Auto-Haste are my favorites (as well as just about everyone else around here...)
I'm more creative with weapons. Evade and Counter is one especially good ability along with Master Thief, Break Damage Limit, and Gillionare.
I also like Triple AP weapons, but they don't help when you've maxed out your stats already.

yeah, i havent maxed out my stats yet but the weapons are worth over 100,000 gil so when i have i'll just sell them.
Also if you have the international or european versions ribbon is great cos it protects against every status ailment

Ribbon is very hard to create you need 99 dark matters! I have it on are the characters armour. break HP limit is very good and is a must if you are going to fight the dark aeons and break MP is good but you dont need it that much

you can get the ribbon from some of the dark aeons (valefor and ifrit i think), but theres only a certain chance you'll get it

i cant say i have one yet because im to lazy adn i get bored to quick to keep fighting get stuff and make money to bribe the items i need

Confuseproof, Poisonproof, Beserkproof, and Stoneproof is good armor for fighting things that cause status ailments and you don't feel like dealing with it. Ribbon will protect against all of this I'm sure, but I have the NA version.

i really dont do statues protection armor i just use items if they get a statues problem on them

not sure i think ive gotten one but sold it because like i said dont really care for protection statues
