What do you think of the hunts in the game? I think they give really good rewards and are fun too!

the hunts are great and all but they came off another game(not a FF game)

I like it anyways. It's a nice way to say GO LVL UP, without continueing the story. It's almost a full sub story, or really big minigame.

You dont get exp from marks. Only LP. But they are a good way to distract you from the main story.

But you need to train to kill some of the harder monsters.

Yeah I know. Actually I just hammer all the hard enemie swith like 10 quickenings or more then i switch to my reserve characters and hammer them some more...So yeha they have NO chance of survival.

Haven't used the quickening system yet. It doesn't seem to do much when I use it.

Thats cuz its no good unless you get combos.

how do I get combos? I use 2 then there is nothing for me to do.

you got to press R2 to shuffle if there isnt any buttons to press. I only have 2 quickenings. Red Spiral, and something darkness (Basch pulls his hands togeter and shoots dark rays at the monster) and i can get 6 moves in. i use quickenings mainly only on hunts. im twords the begining (just got off the Dreadnought after saving Ashe) and ive only used quickenings on wraith and cluckatrice. (working on rocktoise now)

I only had 1 Quickening (because I thought it was stupid and wasn't going to waste stuff on it) but now I have 3 each for my main people and all their magic is thru the roof now so I get to use more "protects" and stuf that used to wipe out my magic.

Thats the glory of quickenings.

Well, thats alll they are good for. Considering that when using it in battle it will take away ALL of your MP. I dont use Quickenings so I cant say if using them and losing all your MP is worth it for the damgage it can do. I never really liked the fact that they are random and soley rely on luck.

Anyway, Back to the Topic, I think that the Hunts are awesome, Although I wish that they would have put alot more of them in the game. The hunts are definetly one of the more better sidequest in the FF Series. The Rewards are great too, I was always looking forward to see what I would get, hoping it'd be a rare weapon.

Yeah me too. If you havent done the battle on the big bridge hunt yet, be sure to steal from the man in his 4th and 5th stages both times you fight him. you have a chance of getting incredibly rare genji armor.

NOTE: Once you beat this mark, there is NO way to get the genji armor. So make sure you get it while you have the chance.

Hunts really utilize the idea that you can go anywhere you want for any reason you want.

I remember in FFIX and FFX you really could only move forward, and X-2 was just a bad game (in my opinion).

Well, FFx has blitzball so you can always go back for players, al-bhed primers, crests, sigils, weapons, items, hidden aeons ect. and hunts I think could have made more of them and some of them a bit stronger with better prizes, I mean some of the pretty tough ones and you get like teleport stone, 1k gil, and something else, I mean like Im not gonna wast my time for something like that.

Yeah I only completed half of that "battle on the bridge" hunt, I got the Genji Gloves and a Genji Shield from him during the 1st fight. DO you get the other 2 Genji items in the second battle?

When I first beat him I was only level 43 and noticed I probably had to be a higher level to finsh the hunt. So now that I finshed the story I began leveling up again, so soon enough I will be finshing the hunt hopefully. What level do you guys recommend being to take him on in the second fight?

As for Final Fantasy X, it was a great game. I really like how you could customize your weapons and give them the abilitys that you wanted. I hated Blitzball, I just couldnt get the hang of it.

Yes you cna get the other genji armor in the 4th and 5th stages of the second fight.
