I am finding the mimic queen hard. All my characters lvl 8 except Basch who is lvl 9 (the guide sais i should be this lvl). she uses her ground shaker attk and it kills my leader (vaan) and severly damages my other party members. any suggestions to avoid this attk?

The best strategy is to just concentrate on the Mimic Queen. Don't attack the minions. You can;t avoid that attack, just keep phoenix downs handy.

I did go after the minions because they kept wailing on me and it only takes a second to kill them.
Make sure that you heal your people too, can't always have the fun of hack slash killing.

just go back a train a bit more the book isnt right on many things I to have it and found several errors so try to level up a few more times and then try to fight her, always go after the minions first take them out then queen will become much esier.

I know. But I'd always get like 9 buggers on me and my people became side tracked, so I followed along.
MAKE SURE YOU ATTACK AS A GROUP! Set Gambits to "Leaders Target: Attack" or something close to that. This way whoever you attack, they attack.

Ok thanks for your help guys. I finally did it on my third attempt.

He managed to get past the part, so this would only become a spamfest.
