Quasimodo boots. You get a free pair sometime in chapter 6... But you can also buy some at the beginning of chapter 6, meaning that the point you are at in the game, you can buy some. In Mt. Bur-Omisace [which would be your best bet, since it's only out of the Feywood, through the Rift, and back to Mt. Bur Omisace], but also in the Phon Coast and Mosphoran Highwaste.
EDIT Even though you already beat the boss, sap can be quite nasty. For any point in the game, for that matter.
Oh yes, and you asked earlier about what you do in the Cockatrice side quest? Go to that walkthrough I suggested earlier and click CTRL + F, and then type in "SQ13". Then, just read that, print it out if you want, and do what it says. It's worth the time, trust me. You'll get a bunch of strong weapons that can serve to help you for the future.
I don't find it to be worth it. Can you get rid of the status problems once you equip it? Like, equip, and then touch a save crystal? Or does it stay? If you can get rid of it, keep it. However, if you can't, get rid of it. Like I said, sap can be quite nasty. Then you can't cast magick and you're slow to react to anything else? Yeah, sell it.

its worth 0 gill so dont bother selling it rather then that use this strategy if you want to use it
cast decoy and regen on the person with the shield and keep another person as a healer for the guy who has the shield, and the third person should just keep on attacking the monster...remember to keep casting decoy as it wers off kinda fast
see... if its not worth anything ill just keep it and equip the thing that makes me immune to sap... i can work with slow and silence. ill use it when im going against bosses
See Basch is my main attack that does NO magic and he has really fast weapons so id give it to him. Balthier has the same weapons. and Fran does the healing and all the magic yet has a Yoichi bow. so its cool lol
EDIT Erased everything I said once I saw your new post >.<
That's a good idea. Try to cast haste of Basch? I don't know if it'll do anything, but it's worth a shot?
I see where you're going. I think... One person is your attacker [Basch]. Another attacks from long ranges & heals at short ranges [Fran]. And the last is an attacker&caster [Balthier]. Right? If that's the case, I think that's a good idea.
V gamer: yes that exactly how it is. you explained it better than me haha.
Riku:I have curaja set but basch never seems to use it until after a battle [eventhough the gambit to heal is set higher than to battle] but its a gravy cuz it all works out
haha i know what your talking about i already have it equipped to all of them. but im stuck in the lost city of girwhatever lol. im in the room of fire or whatever and the door wont open
