after obtaining the treaty blade and killing 6 normal red chocobo's it has a 1 in 256 chance of appearing. I just checked this in the official guide so i assume it is pretty accurate though i have never come across it myself.

I tried fighting that wild dino in the estersands, after it uses Caniblize a few times. he was alittle challanging for the momment. (Lv.99)

lvl 99 red chocobo aint no pushover thts for sure i CHAINED him for 3 and a half hours and ended up with about 7 gemsteel and 10 ribbons from drops 
but be aware all my party are level 99 with best weapons zodiac spear tournesol ...etc...grand armour and stuff like tht but still hard but well worth the time good luck ppl[b][/b]
