my friends have been saying that you can get multiplayer on the game, but they wont tell me how to get it, can someone tell me if multiplayer is real and if it is how to get it

Yes you can play in multiplayer mode in GTA you need to find the two player icon wich is red and has two little people side by side. You walk into it and you press start on the second controler and your in two player mode. There are several different locations all throughout the map where the multiplayer icon is you just have to look for it.
