Hard and Expert are like brain spinners to me. I can't even complete these things on Slower, XD.

... at my friend's house that is.

So, I'm really wondering, because four fingers can go on four frets, is there an easier way to get to the orange fret, but still get back and in motion?

I'm still a Guitar Hero newb, so I got nothing on how to actually do it, like you see Dragon Force stuff on Youtube.

Oh the great ED needing help from me! How I wished for this day to come! If you need to get to the orange fret quickly and back to green, don't move your whole hand. Just shift your pinkie over and use it, then back to the blue. If theres a series of notes between red and orange, that's when you shift your hand downward. If you're unsure of how far to move it, only go so far as to feel the MIDDLE of the orange fret with your pinkie. It's hard until you get it right, keep practising. I had this same problem until just recently when I started playing co-op. Because I had someone keeping me alive, I was able to learn to play hard. I have yet to beat a song on expert. However, if you really want practise play on co-op with someone who can use the Dualshock or another guitar.

Or, if you have trouble moving your pinkie from blue to orange you could always shift your whole hand down so your pinkie is on orange, ring finger is on blue, middle finger is on yellow, and your index finger takes on both the red and the green frets. It works for me and I've beaten every song except for Jordan on expert.

My friend might invite me over tomorrow, so I'll be playing at his house, he can do stuff on Expert, ^_^.

So, slide my pinky to the Orange fret, then back to the blue if it's that kind of note stream, or move my hand if it's separate notes?

Exactly. You'll have it down soon. Plus, try what I suggested. Play with your friend on co-op while he keeps you alive so you can practise.

And once you're better you can try for all the notes, like I do.

It's a lot easier to move your index finger between red and green, as opposed to moving your pinky between orange and blue, because your index finger is a lot more dextrous, for example in the guitar hook in sweet child o mine, i move the index finger down for green notes, but otherwise keep it on red, with the other fingers on the notes above (obviusly). Trust me, it's a lot easier than having your pinky do all the hard work
