Anyone got some. I know grenading and the melee button trick but for some reason I always get like last place. I wait for everyone and then ks, but when its 1 on 1 he always somehow manages to get behing me and then kill me even though we're slashing each other at the same time. Any good tips?

1st of all its lunge not lounge
2nd I won 5 straight Lone wolves Sword battles(1st place) against 40 and aboves(3 slice 'n dices)
3rd i recommend straight beatdown just over and over again if you time it right you cant lose easily
but whatever your most comfortable with

I recommend going over their head and lunge, if u sneak up make it quick. If they are advancing jump back and surprise them with a quick lunge forward.

simple if they lunge at you press B, you win. well it works for me.
In FFA Swords, DON'T play defence, just keep moving and going for kills.

Let me explain it properly, the others above have mentioned this but not completely.
Instead of lunging with R, press B when someone lunges at you, then quickly lunge back with R and you'll lunge faster than them. This is due to the B button slash being faster than the R trigger lunge (but it doesn't make you "lunge" as far).
If someone else is using this button combination then you should press:
B, B, R (so use the B button lunge twice and if they don't die after that use R).
Using the R lunge and then using B isn't as effective unless you're planning on making a 3rd slash as the second slash you do with this method (the B slash) will happen at the same time as if you were making a normal lunge. This happens because the B slash is quicker to end but not quicker to start it's attack.
(Sorry if that's a bit confusing)
