Recon avaliable to all

Yes, Bungie stated in their weekly update that when a player achieves all the vidmaster achievements, Recon will be unlocked for them.

So all you Recon frantics have fun waiting!

Yes, sort of. We did confirm that when Halo 3: Recon is released next Fall, fans will finally have the means to acquire the Recon multiplayer armor for themselves. The ?Vidmaster? achievements that were kicked off in the Halo 3 title update a few months ago are the first step on the road to unlocking Recon. Eventually, once you have successfully completed all of the Vidmaster achievements, you will be able to wear the armor. Some of these achievements can be earned when the Mythic Map Pack is released early next year, but you won?t be able to complete the full chain until the retail release of Halo 3: Recon next Fall. So yes, approximately two years after the release of Halo 3, the broader community will finally be able to get their hands on the Recon armor.

awesome, i have all but the skulls one, now i can add to my already awesome armour.

I don't like that Bungie is doing this simply because people who have already earned Recon armor will get nothing! Plus I bet EVERYONE will start wearing Recon.

I reckon it would be heaps better if they made a new piece of armor OR something for your Avatar.

Recon is cool, but come fall 2009, it won't be anymore.

You are right Dark Jmo,they should keep it like it was to make it even more wanted. All bungie is doing, now is decreasing the rarety of Recon. Soon it will be like all the other armors.

Thanks, and Bungie wouldnt be decreasing rarity, they would be elminating it entirely. I wont even want to wear it as everyone else will be!
Recon for your avatar would be pretty good as people get to keep their rare recon and everyone else would get sumthing insanely special.
Though i reckon Security would be better (just cuz i luv the giant visor and round head =P).
Of course there wouldnt be all this fuss if Bungie gave the current Recon owners something else special (Like Recon for their Avatar LooL).

I'd only wear recon body TBH, shoulders and head look wierd to me.

the chest is the best part but the katanas my lucky charm and the scout shoulders are awesome.

Scout Sgoulders and Mark V helmet are awesome, Katana isn't to good anymore so I'd prefer the body, I wouldn't really want the other Recon parts to much.

i agree but, but when i have the katana i always seem to do awesome, i gain the ability to take faces really fast.

Whenever I wear Katana I normally get seen faster than others, i just really like my current armour set alot to.

I think it would be better as someone has suggested on Bungie.net, for people just to get the shoulders. I think shoulders and body would be good, as people get a resonable reward and People who currently have Recon still keep there sumthin special.

I think Bungie is making a grave mistake. I hope they at least make a new armor variation that will be for some only, and all the people that have Recon now will receive that.

A little off topic but, why do you think the acheivement for 4 player iron Skull is worth zero Gamerscore, but the Acheivement for all skulls is 25G, when you already would have gotten gamerscore from finding indivudial skulls?

Dunno really, but either way when it comes to getting the Brainpan achievement me and my mates will get it within at least three days of the maps coming out, all we do is forge so we'll probably hunt for them all together on each map.
