You get to play the Apple Game, with Won, and sell stuff to him.
There are secret bachelors,liek Won, but they're pretty hard to get. And its easier to get money there, you just need to be pretty good friends with Won, since when you keep playing the Apple Game, you get prizes you can sell back to him.

Overall, MFoMT is just FoMT with a female lead and a little tweaks that made ite easier. As if the game needed to be easier.

fishy person(gourmet)-lives in the lake by the winter mine, if you throw cucumbers in the water there he'll ask you to go away, after 10 days of that he'll give you a power berry

The 'fishy person' is the Kappa, not the Gourmet. The Gourmet is the one who judges the Cooking Festival.
And yes, you can marry these persons, as well as Won. The Kappa takes the place of the HG (The Harvest Goddess)as the challenge. Basically, do everything you had to do for the HG, then confess to Carter that 'I want to marry the Kappa.'

yeah, but it's not worth it to marry either, you have to go through one hell of a lot to get them, they come to your wedding, and they never visit you at your house.

In the same I do not see the point in trying for the HG, except, perhaps, for the challenge.
