Kairi has a grandmother. When you first leave hollow Bastion, and you have to go to Traverse Town. Well Sora gets the flashback, right? And the flashback show kairi and her grandmother talking about how darkness came to be.

Yes but he was 16 when kairi was born. Unless he had a daughter at the age of 8, and the daughter had a daughter at the age of 8, then it could be true.

Or if he adopted someone at the age of 30, and that girl had a daughter that was 14 years then it could be true but....

It's simply impossible. =P

I have an idea on how Kairi got to Destiny Islands. After her grandmother/nanny told her the story. She put her through the door to light to keep her away from the darkness. And when kairi went through the door it took her to destiney Islands. The same way Sora and Riku returned. But the plan backfired and the darkness found destiny Islands searching for Kairi.

dint destiney island get its name because thats where everybodies destiny unfolded?...like sora and his keyblade and riku and his quest for other worlds and kairis destiny, wich was already picked out, in being a princess of heart

I doubt that Riku got his passion of exploration from DI, and Kairi would have never known she was a princess anyway. Malificent practically told her that.

Anyway, we are way off topic.

It's possible KH3 will have a story to play as Riku, though the main focus is probably Sora.
