Yeah, yesterday I was playin' on tha 150cc Flower Cup with Diddy Kong. We were on Coconut Mall an' it was tha last lap an' I was in second behind Bowser an' we were comin' to tha part with tha cars goin' back an' forth an' I came off tha large ramp an' did a trick then as we were goin' around tha curve Diddy, in tha blink of an eye, had Star Power (like when ye get tha Star item) an' I wiped out Bowser an' won tha race. I was like wtf. Does anybody know what this coulda been?

So im guessing you didn't have the star at the moment? well that hasn't happened to me. Well maybe its just a glitch or its a feature for the game like if your desperate for an item you get start or sumthing. Probably not it but something like that maybe.

Well, what I thought was that if ye pull off a cool trick you'll get one but I ain't sure.
Btw, I didn't have a Star at tha time, I was in second, you never get a Star in second place.

sometimes there are items on the track you can pick up. I have seen the star on the side of the road and drove over it. the the star kicked in as soon as I ran over it.

Lies. You can get a star in second place. It's happened to me before. And to paul. It was either a pick-up item like Speedt said, or there was a box above the ramp. But congrats.

I don't think you can get a star in second when in a Grand Prix. I think only when you set the items to agressive (I think thats what its called) in vs.

Once again, I have, Paul has, therefore either it's possible or we're some kind of Mario Kart Super-gods. Probably the latter. And aggressive items sound fun. I'll have to fiddle with the settings some time.

Well its not in this game. The star is onyl available for people in 6-12 or sumthing like that. Its not for 2nd. so it was most likey like spped said, a dropped item.

Yeah thats what probably happens but you don't get it in an item box in second. The item is restricted to something like 6-12 place from an item box.

the star: thats how I see it,6-12 place for the boxes. unless on the ground.

yeah ive seen stars on the ground along with blue shells (the ones that blow up the person in first) bananas, in fact every item
