They gave information about the game that you wouldn't have known otherwise since it hadn't been released yet.

Completed it over 15 times so I'm done with the story side of it for now I'm just playing MGO at the moment.

Not exactly, the series is extremely popular and it was one of the most anticipated games this year, replayability does help though.
