hey...i hav a problem on defeating this invisible dragon known as 'CHAMELEOS' +_+ any way 2 defeat it? wht weapon n armour 2 use? I'm wearing a full set of rathalos armour now...Anyway can an elder dragon be defeated in jst one quest?

Yes, its actually very easy to defeat. i used rathalos armour same as you at that stage, armour is fine. try to attack its sides. Sheath your weapon and run around in circles with the R button held and when he runs normally, chameleos is right infront of you, try to attack its sides and face when possible. Just be aware of its spray and green blob thing, one lowers stamina, other defense, and its tounge steals items.
Elder dragons can be defeated in first quest if you cause enough damage.
Chameleos is easiest i think because it has lower health.

k, armour is fine....but can i use greatsword? or should i use longsword ( Firedragon Sword )? or Dual Blade (actually dual blade is my favourite weapon =p Demonization is cool XD )

First of double posts deleted, and when i killed it i used flaming pair (dual swords made of lao shan stuff).

Fire, fire, fire. Unlike most Elder Dragons, the Chamelos is weak to fire more than dragon, -1 or 2 to dragon and -4 to fire. If you use a long sword use Wyvern Blade Bood or a strong fire weapon.

of course....i hav da flaming pair n wyvern blade blood alrdy(my favourite!), i always wear everything about rathalos! Coz they r cool!

attack his sides,you only have to aware the poison smoke there,i'll use dual/SnS since other weapon attacks will bounce on his wing (not sure, his invisible,duh)

Jeez...I found out tht almost all of da elder dragon's effective part 2 attack is their belly...Do u agree? If me, i think yea! Dn't believe? Then u dn't need 2! Hahaha XD

Three easy steps to kill Elder Dragons:
1. First, cut of horns,spikes, etc.(EXCEPT tail)
2. Hit head/body.(try to hit head if your are good at dodgeing the
attacks)
3. When it loses its "ability" (gets below 40% health) start hacking the tail.(this might be the second time around fighting the same dragon)
This applies to Kushala Daora, Chamelos, Lunastra, and Teostra.

Elder dragons are a pain, you cannot remove their tail until they are below 40% health. When you notice that their "abillity" is gone completely, that is when you should start hitting the tail, untill it comes of, then you should resume hitting the head/body.

i knew that kushala and chameleos tails are cutable, but lunastra and teostra??
Also, do you have to have dragon attrib to break chameleos horn and tail? cos i want to use my susano blade against it (G rank) I have already beaten it before, it was just a pain cos i cudnt see the damn thing

You can cut off almost every wyvern's/dragon's tail.
If you are using susano blade then your good for cutting of its horn.

it is an upgrade of Centenarian Dagger. Susano blade has 1008 raw and 170 fire attrib.
You cant get it until quite far on into the game.
Centenarian Dagger needs; Elder Thank You x1, Gaoren Pincer x1, Lao Shan's Shell x1.
Costs 25,000z
This can be obtained quite early,but not exactly sure when, had mine so long before i upgraded.
To upgrade it to Susano you need; Elder Thank You+ x1 (obtained from beating g-rank gaoren i think) Elder Thank You x1 (obtained from beating village gaoren) and Fire Dragon Claw x10
Susano costs: 50,000z
It is well worth getting when possible, as both centenarian and susano have 15% affinity

yes there is master slayer. You have to defeat 2 of every monster in the game, including ones like kelbi, and excluding; lao shan lung, shen gao ren, akantor and rajang and obviously fatalis

Oh, i beat all quest so i was confused, sorry for going off topic
And about chamelos bring sonic bombs. it somrtimes scares it into being visible shortly.
